Data On Study Abroad by Students From California
Over the past decade, the number of U.S. students studying abroad has increased by over 150%. In academic year 2006/2007, 241,791 U.S. students studied abroad, an increase of 8.5 % from the previous year. More students from California studied abroad in the 2006/2007 school year than in any other state (24,000 in 2006/2007 according to the IIE Open Doors Report 2008).
